Fukkin retarded, no way in hell any course is worth $400+ dollars, in fact most aren't worth $35. Most I ever paid was $106 for Erin Hills, home of the 2017 US Open. Nice course but it wasn't worth that price and now you can't even sniff the course for less than $200.

A course here is $50 green fees. Biggest snob community in the area. But of course they pay coz it fits them.
Most places are $15-$20 fees.
