Help - easiest putter to line up

I just got back from a nine hole tourney. 20 putts, four 3 jacks. I was playing number one on the team and I had the worst score for the team. So now my putter is in the doghouse along with the Hibore XL.

What is the easiest putter to line up, other than the 3 ball? Whatever it is, I will find a way to get one.

I think it’s just whatever fits your eye. I line my putts up with a line on the ball that helps get close to the line I want. I sometimes find sight lines distracting because I tend to watch my stroke instead of the ball. I like a white site dot on a black putter.

I haven't tried one, but from what I have read the Oddysey Marxman appears to be extremely easy to line up for alot of people. If I was in the market for a new putter I would take a look at one of them.

I would think an Odyssey 2 or 3 ball putter would be pretty easy to line up. I have a 2 ball center shaft that is easy, I just hate the center shaft.

It would be one of the big heads I'm sure like the Spider. I didn't think the 2-ball was all that easy to line up. But everyone's different

You may be right J, I can't hit water with it even if I'm in a boat in a lake,

I've been seriously considering this putter here.

I love the look of my putter and other blades/anser styles, but aparently they don't work for me.

Marxman is out, my buddies brother has one, it's crap. I can't stand 2 ball or 3 ball odysseys either.

Thanks for all the replies, you've given me an idea.

I'll be putting an add in the classifieds in a minute.

TGW has the Srixon 513 and the 514 putter I posted a picture of for sale right now, brand new for $79.00. Your already playing a Srixon wedge, might as well get a matching putter,

You may give the White Hot XG #7 a try, the 2 fangs with lines make lineup really obvious. Much better IMO than a 2 ball that I tried side by side. Would lead me to believe the 2 bar Rife may be just as good. Tried the 2 bar at the same time and probably would have bought it instead had it had a soft insert.

If I was gonna change to a big, easy to align putter I'd be thinking along the lines of the Ping DOC 12.5, Nice shape long alignment line and decent feel Ping DOC 12.5 35" Putter - eBay (item 280228368466 end time May-24-08 19:00:00 PDT) or the Scotty Futura Phantom, again nice long sigle alignment line, good colour contrast and decent feel 34" Titleist Scotty Cameron Futura Phantom Putter on eBay, also, Clubs, Golf, Sporting Goods (end time 26-May-08 03:54:31 BST) .

I tried one of the bigger putters & just couldn't swing it all that well, felt awkward. Been using the TaylorMade Rossa Imola this year & at 1st I wasn't doing very well, but now we have adjusted to each other & I love it. Nice simple blade, light weight & pretty accurate. The putts I do miss lately are literally missing the cup by 1/2".

Check out two Odysseys - the White Hot XG #7 ("The Fang") and the Odyssey Sabretooth. Insert feel may take a little getting used to, but these two swing themselves. I took about only two rounds from going to stainless head/hard feel with no insert to being able to control distance with The Fang. Direction is know almost automatic. Consider also putting on an oversized Winn pistol grip is you feel you are too wristy and you want good feeling through the hands. Hope this helps. P.S. If you have a Dick's Sporting Goods near you, they should have these two for you to try out in the store.

My friend.... A SEEMORE putter will be your end all be all putter.

Seriously. Check into them. They have alot of good stuff on them, and feel great.. Some seriously good putters.

The lower end brass can be had for cheap, but the other milled SS models will run you $325, but can be had used for much less.

Has sight lines on the top, and a RST(Rifle Scope Technology) on the putter, where you keep the shaft covering the red dot. Just a quick reminder to make sure your square. It's not going to fix if your aimed too far one side or the other of the target, but where you aim, it will assure your squared up atleast with your putter and throughout the stroke!
